Welcome to Sports BE and the Business of a Football Agent course. The course is delivered over 10 modules, which have been carefully created to help you develop the skill, knowledge and network to begin a career as a successful football agent.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

During the Business of a Football Agent course, students will be offered a variety of different ways to learn, interact and develop their network in the game. The objectives of the course is to help you develop a football agent business and / or career strategy, so that you can kick-off your career effectively.

  • Live ZOOM interactive training: Engaging live video lectures for each module, featuring industry experts and professionals from within the football and sports industry.
  • Reading Materials: Suggested football agent / industry-relevant reading material will be recommended throughout the training to enhance an individual’s experience and knowledge.
  • Interactive ZOOM Discussions: Set up discussion forums or live webinars for learners to interact and ask questions.

Practical Exercises:

  • Contract Negotiation Debates: In-depth discussions and scenarios when negotiating a contract on behalf of different clients. Learn techniques to add value to the contract, and best practices to achieve the best deal.
  • Player Scouting & Evaluation Assignments: Opportunity to discuss a client of your choice with a qualified FIFA Football Agent. Discover the steps you need to take to assess the player from a scouting, recruitment, and representation perspective. 
  • Football Agent Business / Career Strategy: Those who have completed the training will have access to a 1-hour consultancy to discuss their business strategy and how they plan to develop their business as a FIFA Football Agent.

‘What they don’t teach you at Harvard Business School’, by Mark. H. McCormack was one of the books that inspired me to get involved in the sports agency industry. It’s an old book, but if you’re interested in learning more about how the industry developed, I would certainly recommend giving it a read.

Yes I know it’s a book about baseball, but some of the information and context contained within the pages are becoming more and more relevant to the football industry. If the books and its stats are too much for you, then please watch movie with Brad Pitt. The dynamics between the GM and Head Coach perfectly illustrate the relationships that are developing in the football industry.
