LAST MINUTE REVISION IDEAS
Life can get busy! You suddenly realise that you have less than two weeks until you sit the exam. Eeeek I haven’t had the time to study. Don’t panic. To maximise your time and chances of passing focus on the following documents:
FIFA Football Agent Regulations (40% approx of exam questions)
Regulations on the Transfer & Status of Players (March 2023) (30% approx of exam questions)
Both of these documents will most likely cover 70% of the examination questions. With the other regulations covering 30%.
If you have the time, make yourself aware of the regulations surrounding the FIFA Football Tribunal and the FIFA Clearing House.
For the other regulations FIFA Statutes, FIFA Congress, FIFA Code of Ethics and FIFA Disciplinary Code if you have no time make sure they are downloaded as individual files on your laptop and use the CTRL F feature to search the document for the relevant regulation. It’s not perfect, but if time is against you, this is a workable strategy!
I also advise that you compete the FIFA Safeguarding course in the link below, when you are frazzled by reading and breaking down the FIFA regulations. A number of questions from past exams have featured Child Safeguarding topics.

EXAM DAY ARRIVES
When FIFA Football Agent Exam Day arrives ensure that you have the study material available on your laptop.
Sports BE always suggest downloading the individual regulation documents rather than using the FIFA Agent Study materials. This is because it’s easier to navigate and use the CTRL F feature in the individual documents than the 600-study material pack provided by FIFA.
Also make sure you also take a pen and paper into the exam. This will help you break down the longer more complicated questions. Many candidates get questions wrong because they don’t answer the question being asked. Their knowledge is often spot on, but they haven’t understood exactly what the question is asking…
The question below is a perfect example. Comment below what your answer would be and why!
FC Costa wish to engage an amateur player that is currently playing with FC Aregano. FC Costa would like to offer him his first professional contract, meaning that the player would be registered as a professional for the first time. However, FC Costa are concerned about the costs associated with training compensation. To resolve the issue, FC Costa ask FC Provo to offer the player his first professional contract. FC Provo are a training category 4 club, which would exempt them from paying training compensation. FC Provo would then plan to loan the player to FC Costa, free of payment, for two seasons. Would this scenario contravene FIFA regulations?
Select one or more:
- Yes, FC Costa and FC Provo would be in breach of 5bis of the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players (RSTP) by entering into a bridge transfer aimed at circumventing training compensation. Moreover, the player’s loan move from FC Provo to FC Costa would exceed the maximum duration of one year foreseen by article 10 of the RSTP.
- Yes, FC Costa and FC Provo would be in breach of article 5bis of the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players by entering into a bridge transfer aimed at concealing third-party ownership.
- No, this is a practical solution for all parties and in compliance with the FIFA regulations.
- Yes, FC Costa would be in breach of article 18bis of the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players as a result of the influence exercised over FC Provo, who were forced to register the player as a professional.
What is your answer?
FIFA FOOTBALL AGENT EXAM KICKS OFF
The exam has started, and you have 60 minutes to answer 20 multiple choice questions.
That’s three minutes per question….
Wait only 3 minutes. Yep! But don’t panic you can manage your way through the exam. The questions are generated randomly so there is some luck on how difficult your exam will be.
The good news is that the pass rate is 75% so you have the flexibility of getting 5 correct. Any more than 5 incorrect answers you will have to re-sit the exam in November.
Out of the 20 questions you will some that are simple and others that are complex.
One strategy you might want to consider is that you spend the start of the exam flicking through the exam to give you time to compose yourself and gain some confidence. Then work backwards through the exam questions. Everyone has their own approach, so think about how you are going to approach it before getting into the examination room.
The questions that you will receive in your exam will vary in levels of difficulty. Sports BE have arranged these questions into three categories:
TAP IN QUESTIONS:
Sports BE recommend that you complete the easy questions first. These are tap ins to get points on the board. Past students have mentioned that they get between 5-8 tap in questions.
These will take less time to answer and give you the time to focus on the more difficult questions.
These should take you between 7 – 9 minutes to answer.
18 YARDER QUESTIONS:
These questions are often longer in detail and delve into more complex scenarios and detailed understanding of the regulations. Often with these questions you will need to cross-reference your answers with the regulations.
Remember to use a pen and paper to write down the key components of the questions and answer the QUESTION!!!
With the 18 Yarder Questions you could receive between 7-10 and they should take you around 25 minutes to answer.
TOP CORNER QUESTIONS:
In every FIFA Football Agent Exam you will get 4 – 5 questions that are complicated and designed to confuse and question your own knowledge.
Be careful with the language being used. READ the question. Before answering focus on what the question is actually asking!!
Often the question will state “Select one or More”. This alone creates a lot of doubt. From reviewing hundreds of exam questions, don’t be afraid of selecting just one answer. Unfortunately, any partly correct answers will not earn you a point towards your overall score. Therefore, take your time cross-reference with the regulations and YES AGAIN READ THE QUESTION!!!!
You might need to read these questions numerous times, so leave the long confusing questions to the end. Any questions involving calculations (training compensation / solidarity mechanism) can eat into 60 minutes. Remember each question is only worth 1 point, and you can get 5 incorrect. So don’t panic…
These TOP CORNER questions can take between 15-20 minutes to complete.
EXTRA TIME
Well done! You’ve completed the exam. Hopefully you have around 5 – 10 minutes left to review your answers.
Use all the available time to read the questions again thoroughly and review your answers. It is important to use the remaining time to ensure you haven’t misinterpreted any of the questions and made some simple mistakes.
If you have the time, it can be good practice to refer to the regulations to double check your answers.
Also make sure you have answered all 20 questions. Sounds simple, but a few candidates discovered they didn’t answer all of the questions when they received their results!!
Once you have completed the exam unfortunately you won’t get your result straight away. You will have to wait a week to discover your result and if you’ve successfully passed to become a Licensed FIFA Football Agent.
